Marine Survey

Pre-purchase Surveys

TR Maritime conducts thorough inspections of vessels to assess their structural and watertight integrity, system installations, operating condition, and performance. We provide a comprehensive report that includes an equipment list, specifications, and a detailed list of deficiencies and recommendations. The vessel is assigned replacement and market values in US dollars. Pre-purchase surveys, also known as "Buyer's Surveys," are typically required by lending institutions and insurance companies. These surveys are conducted for prospective buyers prior to the actual purchase of a vessel.

P&I and H/M Condition Surveys

TR Maritime offers surveys aimed at providing an accurate depiction of a vessel's condition at the time of inspection. These surveys cover management, manning, safety, navigation, pollution prevention, and cargo-worthiness aspects. The information gathered assists underwriters in assessing the risk associated with insuring the vessel against specific perils. While the purpose of condition surveys remains the same, the specific reasons for their requirement can vary significantly, leading to variations in survey extent and emphasis.

On Hire - Off Hire Surveys

TR Maritime inspectors provide documented independent proof of the actual condition of a chartered or used vessel. The survey involves inspecting and recording the current condition of loading gear, cargo holds, and hatches. The findings and report from our inspectors can be used to substantiate claims arising from damage to the vessel or cargo. On Hire and Off Hire surveys are among the many commercial inspections TR Maritime can conduct on your behalf, offering financial protection and peace of mind when shipping cargo.

Shipboard / Office Audits

TR Maritime performs independent safety and ISM/ISPS audits to ensure vessel compliance with necessary safety standards and the company's Safety Management System or International Ship and Port Facility Security Code. These audits can be conducted regularly or arranged on short notice and are akin to health checks for the efficient operation of ships.

Bunker Surveys

TR Maritime conducts bunker surveys, which involve sounding all bunker fuel tanks, including heavy fuel and marine diesel oil. The survey determines the amount of fuel on board at the time and adjusts it for consumption and/or fuel oil received to determine the fuel on board during on-hire or off-hire periods. We provide a report that is signed and certified by the attending surveyor, the vessel's Chief Engineer, and the vessel's Master at the time of the survey.
